Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace is designed for and by our local Hawaiian Community
to pull together Hawaii’s bounty and share our aloha with residents and visitors alike.
Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace is a sustainable and green marketplace, where unsustainable fishing, GMO products, Styrofoam, and non-biodegrable plastics are Kapu (forbidden).
(So bring your own recycled shopping bags, or be prepared to buy a few of ours)
Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace is a market focused on promoting local Hawaiian aloha, produce, artisans, fishermen, chefs, farmers, crafters, performers, historians, peoples, and cultures; so everything in our market is locally inspired, made, and/or grown in Hawai'i with aloha.
(No "Made in China" here; our vendors are all home grown)
Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace is a Cultural Marketplace, where our local Hawaiian community, kupuna and 'ohana may come to share their gifts.
Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace profits help to support several local Hawaiian non-profits, including The Next Step (homeless) Shelter, The Hawai'i Children's Discovery Center, The Living Life Source Foundation, and The Hawaiian Healling Center.
Kaka'ako Makai Marketplace is a place of community, celebration,
history, festival, food, and fun...
